Storm Damage in Maryland

After very heavy rains affected Virginia and Maryland, SERVPRO of South Jersey City/ Bayonne headed to the area to assist with the heavy cleanup. Cars had been washed away and flash floods caused water damage to many home and businesses. The basement pictured here had the ceiling cave in, allowing water to soak the floor and contents. Our crew extracted the water, removed the remaining drywall from the ceiling, moved the contents, cleaned the floor and placed drying equipment to remove the moisture from the area. After a standard three day drying period, the equipment was removed and the basement was ready for repairs. The homeowners were very pleased to see the basement cleaned and organized after the initial damage.
